One Piece PETs: Super Straw Hats

Sunny.


Partly cloudy at best.


Temperature: 60 degrees.


    Yes, it was a perfect day. Great for eating apples. Unless you eat so many, you get sick of them after a while. But not for this particular individual.


*URRRRP!!!*


That would be him.


"Ah~, good apples." Monkey D. Luffy lied on the couch, patting his stomach. As you could already tell by looking at the interior of room, Luffy loved apples...and meat. Oh, and he had guests.


    One was a little reindeer called Tony Tony Chopper, or "Momo Tonakai", and the other was a Skeletal Palomino Horse Man called Brook, or "Hone Gurepu". Luffy's superhero persona was "Mugiwara Ringo".


At the moment, the three of them were just hanging out at his place.


"Anyone want some meat?" Luffy asked, taking a plate of meat in a plastic wrap from a mini fridge full of apples, applesauce, apple juice, and more meat wrapped in plastic.


"I'm good," Chopper answered.


"No, thank you," Brook added.


"More for me, then," Luffy spoke as he took off the plastic wrap and started eating.


Brook was currently watching television. "Oh, look, Luffy!" Brook called. "Miss Nami's on TV!"


"Really?" Luffy asked. "Cool!"


Yes, it was indeed Nami, or rather "Neko no Mikan".


She had just kicked a lackey as Sanji cheered her on. In his superhero persona, Sanji was called "Banana Kitsune".


"Go Nami!" Luffy cheered. "I love ya, baby!"


"Yohoho!" Brook chortled. "Doesn't she look smashing?"


"She sure does!" Luffy grinned. "Shishishi!"


"She's smashing, all right," Chopper added, "Smashing bad guys' skulls."


And how.


Nami was truly a forced to be reckoned with.


"Which is why I'm dating her!" Luffy added. "Shishishi!"


"You're so cool, Nami-swan~!" Sanji cheered on the television.


"Incoming on your left!!" Nami shouted.


One goon tried to attack Sanji from his left side. However, he turned and kicked him in the neck!


"Nice!" Luffy praised.


"Masterfully done!" Brook exclaimed.


Yes, indeed.


Soon, the crooks were taken care of.


"As expected of my teammates!" Luffy grinned. "Shishishishi!"


Let us introduce the rest of the Super Straw Hats.


    There was Franky, or "Sai no Ichigo". Next was Usopp, or rather, "Uso no Painappuru". There was also Zoro, also known as "Tora no Melon". We couldn't forget about his girlfriend, Robin, or "Kuro no Cheri".


Together, they were the Battle Fruits Nine!


At the moment, Nami and Sanji were rounding up the lackeys.


"That's all of them," Nami noted.


"Can't believe how easy that was." Sanji added.


"Tell me about it," Nami concurred, "it almost feels too easy."


Suddenly, they heard an evil laugh in the distance.


"I'd know that laugh from anywhere..." Nami hissed. "It's...Buggy!!"


Yes. The evil Buggy the Clown.


Luffy, Chopper, and Brook gasped upon seeing him appear on the TV screen.


"Buggy!" Luffy shouted.


"Good heavens!!" Brook cried.


"Why him?!" Chopper asked.


"AHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!" Buggy cackled. "SURPRISED TO SEE ME?!"


"Buggy! We should've known this was your doing!" Nami shouted.


"But of course, Neko no Mikan!" Buggy confirmed. "You thought it was over, that quick?!"


"Knowing you, no." Nami deadpanned.


"Dumb-ass," Sanji added.


"OH, SHUT UP!!!" Buggy snapped. "This is the end for you, and the rest of the Battle Fruits Nine!!"


"Oh, please!" shouted Sanji. "What could you possibly do?!"


"We'll kick your ass, Buggy!" Nami replied. "Even without Mugiwara Ringo here!!"


"Bring it on!" Buggy goaded.


"Yeah!!" Luffy cheered. "Go get him, guys! You can take him!!"


"Kick his butt!" Chopper added.


"Yohohoho!!" Brook chortled.


"Kick his butt!" Chopper added.


"Chopper, you already said that," Luffy pointed out.


"Oh." Chopper muttered. "Whoops."


"That's okay." Luffy spoke, petting the reindeer. "You're good."


"Thanks."


On TV, Nami and Sanji were still fighting Buggy. He wasn't making it easy, though.


"AHAHAHAHA!!!" Buggy laughed. "CHOP-CHOP FESTIVAL~!!!"


Pieces of his body were flying all over the place and Nami and Sanji were easily getting pummeled.


"Oh, come on!" Luffy shouted. "That's not fair!!"


"Nami! Sanji!" Chopper cried.


"Good lord!!" Brook exclaimed. "Should we back them up?"


"I think so," Luffy answered, "I'm calling the others to let them know."


Chopper handed him a Transponder Snail. Luffy began dialing a number, and soon after, someone picked up.


"Hello?"


"Zoro, it's Luffy. You watching the news?"


"I just turned on the TV."


"Nami and Sanji are in a bind."


"No surprise there."


"What do you say we go help 'em out?"


"All right. Got nothing better to do."


"Great! You call the others and I'll meet ya there!"


With that, he hung up.


"All right, guys," Luffy began, donning his cape and mask, "Let's go save the day!"


"Yeah!" exclaimed Brook and Chopper.

Nami and Sanji were still struggling against Buggy's Chop-Chop Festival.


"Dammit!!" Nami cursed.


Buggy laughed at their plight.


"That's right!" he shouted. "Kneel, you whelps!!"


"We'll never kneel to you, Big Nose!" Nami retorted.


*SNRRK!!* Buggy snorted in shock and anger.


"BITCH, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING BIG NOSE!?!?!" he bellowed.


"Who do you think?" Sanji asked.


Buggy gritted his teeth as he growled. "You...!!" he hissed. "You're gonna pay for insulting my glorious nose!"


He put himself back together.


"Chop-Chop RICE CRACKER!!" he shouted. Soon, he sent his lower body spinning towards Sanji and Nami like a buzz-saw.


"Crap!" Sanji cursed. "Look out!!"


Suddenly... *KLANG!!* Zoro appeared, blocking Buggy's attack!


"What!?" the clown questioned.


"Hey, there, Buggy," Zoro smirked, "Miss me?"


"Yeah, right!" Buggy answered. "You damned tiger!!"


At that moment, six wings appeared on Buggy's body, and wrapped themselves around him, restraining him.


"Ah, f***."


"Clutch."


*KRAAAAK!!*


"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!" Buggy screamed. "MY BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!"


"My turn!" Luffy's voice called out. "Gum-Gum...BELL!!!"


*BONG!!!* Luffy's rubber skull slammed into Buggy's.


"Ahh..." Buggy gasped. "Damn...Straw Hat...!"


*THUD!* Buggy collapsed in defeat.


The citizens around the group broke out into cheers.


"All right!!" a man shouted. "Way to go!!"


"You're the coolest, Mugiwara Ringo!"


"Shishishishi!" Luffy laughed. "Thanks, everybody!"


That's when Nami came up and hugged Luffy from behind.


"Thanks for helping us out," she smiled, "I love you, baby."


"I love you, too, Pretty Kitty."


Soon, they kissed.

You'd think that after stopping Buggy and his gang, the Battle Fruits Nine could rest, right? WRONG!


"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!" a woman screamed. "THE CITY'S UNDER ATTACK BY A GIANT TURTLE!!!!"


Yup. A giant turtle was rampaging through the city.


"Somebody call the Battle Fruits Nine!" a man cried.


Not long after, a signal light appeared in the sky. It was a Jolly Roger with a straw hat, munching on an apple.

Chopper looked out the window and gasped upon seeing the signal.


"Hey, Luffy!" he called.


"Yeah, I know," Luffy had already put on his mask and was tying on his cape, "A hero's work is never done."

The giant turtle was still rampaging and the citizens were fleeing in a panic.


*FWOOSH!!* The turtle spewed a jet of flames from his mouth, hitting a nearby building!


"Save us, Battle Fruits Nine!" a woman cried. "Where are you?!"


"We're right here!"


Everyone gasped upon hearing that voice. "Mugiwara Ringo!"


That's right. Luffy had appeared, along with the rest of the Battle Fruits Nine, and the civilians cheered upon seeing them.


"They're here!!"


"They've come to save us!!"


"Thank the Heavens!"


"Beat that turtle!"


Luffy smirked as he cracked his knuckles. "Ready, guys?"


"Let's do this," Usopp smirked.


Robin chuckled as she crossed her wings, and Zoro smirked while drawing his swords.


"Been a while since my blades clashed with a giant monster."


"Too bad you won't be able to use 'em, Moss-head," Sanji spoke up, "because I'm the one who's gonna bring it down!"


He made a mad dash towards the giant turtle.


"Hey!!" Zoro shouted as he charged, as well. "I'm taking down that turtle!!!"


"Let's all do it!" Franky exclaimed. "Besides, I haven't seen any action, all day!!"


The giant turtle roared at the Battle Fruits Nine.


"Looks pretty tough," Luffy smirked, "just how I like 'em! Nami!"


"Got it, Luffy!" Nami answered as she leaped into the air, and drop-kicked the turtle in the face!


"Good one, Nami-swan~!" Sanji swooned as he twirled.


"Spazz," Zoro muttered.


"Up yours!" Sanji barked.


"What was that?!" Zoro questioned.


"Guys! Turtle!" Luffy shouted. "Stay focused!!"


"LOOK OUT!!!" Chopper screamed as the turtle let out a fireball from its breath.


"WHOA!!!" Sanji and Zoro cried as they jumped out of the way.


"You guys okay?!" Robin asked.


"We're fine!" Zoro answered.


"More or less!" Sanji added.


"Weapons Left!" Franky shouted as he fired at the turtle. However, it did nothing against its huge, iron-like shell. "Dammit!" Franky cursed. "That thing's tough!"


"Let me try!" Usopp had his Kabuto slingshot at the ready. "Special Attack...FIREBIRD STAR!!"


*Twang! FWOOSH!!!!* The turtle was it hit by a flaming bird-like projectile, causing it to roar in pain.


"All right!" Usopp cheered.


"Way to go, Usopp!" Luffy shouted.


"My turn!" Chopper piped up. "Rumble!"


*Crunch!*


"Arm Point!!"


He turned into his Arm Point form and lunged at the turtle. "Roseo...MICHELLI!!!"


*BAM!!!* Several hoof-shaped bruises appeared on the turtle's jaw, causing it to stumble back.


"Robin!" Chopper called.


"Got it," Robin responded with her wings crossed, "Now, Seis Fleur!"


Six wings appeared over the turtle's right eye. "SLAP!!"


*WHAP!!* They slapped the turtle's eye, causing it to roar in pain.


"Three Sword Style..." Zoro began. "TATSU MAKI~!!!"


He unleashed his Tatsumaki on the turtle, spinning it around, slicing it up.


"Nice!!" Luffy exclaimed.


Sanji spun around until his leg was red hot. "Diable Jambe."


He jumped up, over the turtle's head.


"CONCASSE~!!!" he shouted as he slammed the heel of his foot on the reptile's skull. The force of his kick left a scorching impression on the turtle's head. "Damn turtle," Sanji cursed.


"Third Gear!" Luffy shouted, blowing into his thumb, causing his arm to grow huge! "Bone Balloon!"


The crowd watched in awe at this.


"Mugiwara Ringo's Third Gear!" one man exclaimed.


"GUM-GUUUUUUUUUM...GIANT PISTOL~!!!" Luffy roared.


*BAM!!!* His giant fist collided with the turtle's face, causing it to crash down on the ground. The whole crowd erupted with cheers and applause.


"All right!!" a woman cheered.


"Way to go, Mugiwara Ringo!" a little girl added.


"You're amazing!!" shouted a little boy.


Luffy, who was flying around in the sky as air was coming out of his mouth, began to shrink down to a child-like size.


"I hate this part," he spoke in a high-pitch voice as he began to fall towards the ground.


"I got you, Luffy!!" Nami cried as she held out her arms. The chibi Luffy landed safely in the Booted Puss Woman's embrace. "Gotcha!"


"Although, I do like this part." Luffy admitted as Nami held him. "Shishishi!"


"Lucky SOB." Sanji grumbled.


"Oh, get over it," Zoro told him.


"Bite me!" Sanji snapped. "Damn Moss-head tiger!!"


"Shut up, you Curly Eybrowed Fox!" Zoro retorted.


Soon, they started going at it.


"Oh, boy..." Usopp sighed. "There they go again."


"They'll tire out, eventually." Brook noted.


*FLOP!!* The duo fell to the ground, panting.


"Feh." they uttered.


"Good grief," Nami sighed.


"Ah, well," Luffy piped up with a shrug, "It happens."


He immediately grew back to normal size...right in Nami's arms.


"That was fast," Nami noted, setting Luffy down on his feet, "Usually it takes you longer."


"Must be getting better at using it." Luffy surmised. "Shishishishishi!"


But then, *Grrrrrrrmmmmmmbbbgh!!*


"AH!!" Usopp and Chopper yelped as they held each other in fright. "ANOTHER MONSTER!!!!"


"Uh...take another guess," Luffy told them.


Everyone looked at his gut and *Grrrrrrrmmmmmmbbbgh!!*


"...Why didn't we see that coming?" Usopp asked.


"I have no idea." Brook answered.


Robin only chuckled. "I guess we did work up an appetite," she added.


"We sure did." Chopper concurred.


"I guess I'm pretty hungry, too," Usopp spoke up.


"I'm quite hungry, myself." Brook admitted. "Although I don't have a stomach, mind you."


Ha.


Anyhoo, after that epic battle, the Battle Fruits Nine decided to head home for dinner. Sanji cooked, as usual, and it was delicious.


"Thanks, Sanji!" Luffy called.


"No problem," Sanji said, "Even superheroes can't fight on an empty stomach."


"Amen, brother!" Franky agreed.


"Yeah!" Chopper cheered.


Yup. All in a day's work for the Battle Fruits Nine.
